Created by Jun Takahashi, UNDERCOVER embodies the Japanese culture of cool, bringing raw rebellious energy and dramatic elegance to a high concept style that captivates with its dualities. Takahashi founded the brand in 1990 while a student at Tokyo's Bunka Fashion Academy, avoiding the usual internships favored by young Japanese designers. This rebelliousness was reflected in his early punk-inspired work, which quickly found support and mentorship from Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons.
